This event brings together two outlooks for smart shipping and building blocks of the SEAMLESS and MAGPIE projects. SMASH! and DST will present the newly developed Smart Shipping vision 2035 and the Future projections of automated inland shipping (RAIN) developed by the Dutch and German smart shipping communities. SEAMLESS and MAGPIE present their innovations and demonstrators in smart vessel, fleet and logistics operations.
During the session, we will use the Dutch, German and European threads to inspire and support the participants to identify concrete steps that can be taken today by companies and authorities and what is needed to make these steps successful.
What to expect:
- SMASH Smart Shipping 2035 (Vision River & Canals and Port)
- RAIN (inland ports Readiness for Automated Inland Navigation)
- SEAMLESS: automated stowage planning, automated mooring, smart docking, automated port call management & integrated multi-modal transport planning,
- MAGPIE: reducing port congestion with automated, unmanned e-barges and recap of MAGPIE demonstrators.
